Water tubes and floats can make the pool or other swimming hole more fun. They give you a place to rest without having to get out of the water. Living in Texas, Colorado and New Mexico we have had our share of water fun in all kinds of settings. Pools, are the cleanest with the most control. Even one of those above ground pools can be set up, if you are not rich but, live in a single family setting. Most apartment complexes now days have them.
Just as much fun is the beach at the Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic or Pacific ocean. Floating equipment adds to the enjoyment no matter. There are even some slow rivers in which you can swim. The items on this list will work best in pools, but other places "slow water" places like ponds, and lakes just as well.
When we hit the white water we use special strong equipment, but for the slow water environments, the items listed here may be less sturdy, but more convenient. And convenience is, after all rather important. On the list below I looked for people with low budgets, and maybe not so much storage space. Water can be fun, but if you forget its dangers, it can hurt. Being able to use something to keep you're and your small child's heads up to be able to breath is essential. Without that constant concern in the back of your head, the fun will always be more relaxing.
When you are at public places with these items, you will be the envy of all the other "kids" and their adults will probably ask where they can get some just like yours.
As you look at the items shown, first look at the picture. A picture shows something no review can capture. Look at the fun on the faces. Look at how easy it is to enjoy and relax when the item was used.
I am a professional researcher. As a grandmother, wife, mother and having lots of friends, people in my world know that and ask me about stuff before they buy online. Mostly recommend things I actually use, or could use, because I want my people to continue to trust me and when they listen to me, to be save/satisfied with things I suggest. At the time I made this list one of the products had only one review and it was very low, but only said, "Don't waste you money." No mention of what was wrong. And 2 people had marked it as useful. I don't like going negative myself, but that review may have been from someone that got something for a kid that was too big or small for the unit and then blamed the product for not fitting. If you get products, it is always nice to leave your own review. Just remember to put in facts, not feelings. I wonder how someone that read the review could find that particular statement helpful?
Convenient and economical:
OK. On this list, I looked for budget minded people. Maybe they have a permanent backyard pool, or even one they set up and filled with a water hose. Or people with a lake, pond, tank or natural water location they swim in that is slow and meandering or not moving at all. They hold you up nicely with little effort. Some take air, others do not. Some can help acclimate a young child to the water with the company of a trusted companion in the same device. Others "attach" to the person so they can't fall out. The common thread is easy fun.
So, on to the suggestions.
